Personalise additional advice

You can use these consultations to provide advice on additional products customers might have forgotten to think about such as:

  • Do they need any travel vaccines or malaria tablets?
  • Have they got a small first aid kit?
  • Have they thought about taking any products in case they get a stomach upset such as loperamide or oral rehydration sachets?
  • If they do get sunburnt, have they got after-sun products? 

Build loyalty

It is likely that you will get lots of customers asking for advice before they go on holiday and these conversations present an opportunity to build loyalty. 

Consider the following:

What sunscreens does your pharmacy sell that may be suitable for babies and young children?
2.
What products does your pharmacy sell that you could recommend to treat insect bites and stings?
3.
What travel health services does your pharmacy offer that may be of interest to your customers? If you do not offer any services, do any other Boots pharmacies nearby?
