In 2019 the Government announced an ambition for the UK to become smoke free by 2030 (achieved when adult smoking prevalence falls to 5% or less). However, based on current progress, it is likely that the target will be missed by a number of years.1
Evidence shows that behavioural support for smoking cessation can increase quit rates.2 Even if you are not a trained stop smoking advisor, there are key things you can do to support customers who want to quit.
