The Professional Standard February 2025

This Professional Standard is dedicated to our Deputy Superintendent Pharmacist, Dr José Moss, who sadly passed away last month. José was committed to improving patient safety throughout her career and many of the tools, resources and guides you will be familiar with in pharmacy such as digital SOPs, PIERS, case studies in The Professional Standard, and the Pharmacy Leadership Pathway, were developed under her leadership. She also held key roles in the wider pharmacy profession, including Vice Chair of the Community Pharmacy Patient Safety Group and Chair of the Company Chemists’ Association Pharmacy Practice Group. José's legacy of dedication to the profession, patient safety, and her compassion, empathy, and kindness will be deeply missed. She leaves a lasting impact on our profession and in our hearts.
